Escrow Closer

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: Columbia

Job Duties:

  • Communicate with clients, real estate agents and lenders regarding real estate closings
  • Review title commitments.
  • Prepare settlement statements
  • Draft letters and correspondence
  • Gather and research all relevant figures and documents to ensure paperwork is accurate
  • Check for any objections or encumbrances on the title and order the proper documentation ahead of the closing.
  • Comply with documents: contracts, settlement statements, closing disclosures, deeds of trust, deeds and title commitments
  • Ensure the monetary amounts are correct to satisfy loans, taxes and judgments, and oversee the collection of all fees and charges that were agreed to for the transaction.
  • Ensure that all legal documents involved in the transaction are properly notarized and recorded and prepared in proper form.
  • Securely maintain customer information
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in real estate is preferred

Compensation is DOE (dependent upon experience)


Receptionist/Closing Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: Columbia

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for greeting persons, determining nature and purpose of visit, and direct them to specific destinations.
  • Operate telephones or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
  • Perform administrative support tasks
  • File and maintain records.
  • Analyze data to determine answers to questions from customers or members of the public.
  • Process and prepare memos, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Appropriately handle monetary funds for escrow files.
  • Securely maintain customer information
