Meet Wes Moxley

Wes Moxley - Boonville - Monarch Title Company

My name is Wes Moxley, and I am the branch manager/closer/title abstractor for our office located in Boonville, Missouri. My office handles title searches and closing for properties located in Cooper County, Howard County, Saline County, and a few other surrounding counties.

I was born and raised in the small Northcentral Missouri towns of Rothville and Mendon until graduating high school from Northwestern R-1, and going off to college in Kirksville, Missouri to attend Truman State University.

My first job with Monarch Title Company was as a title abstractor for our Marceline, Missouri office. I started working for Monarch Title in the summer of 2002 after my senior year of high school and continued to do title abstracting while I was away to college. During my sophomore year of college, I met my future wife, Callie, and we have been together ever since.

In 2007, my wife and I moved to Columbia, Missouri, so she could continue her education at the MU School of Nursing. She is currently a cardiac ICU nurse at the Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. In 2010 or so, I started working with Monarch Title Company at the Columbia office as a title abstractor again. I then took over the role as the Boonville office branch manager and closer in 2014, and have been here ever since. My wife and I currently live in Harrisburg, where we are raising our two girls, Layla and Norah. Most of our free time is spent playing with them and the pets outside, enjoying bike rides of the Katy Trail, gardening, and participating with them in school activities.

My favorite part of working with Monarch Title Company (outside of my awesome coworkers) is the actual closings. For many people, this is the largest purchase they will ever make, and it feels good to be a part of the process. It can be a very nervous time for both buyers and sellers, and seeing the joy and relief on their faces when the closing is done makes everything worth it. I especially like closing with families that have young kids. For many, the homes they are closing with us will be where their kids are raised and will be part of life long memories, and it is just cool to have a small part in that.

This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that while the purpose of our job and what we do has not changed, how we have to do some aspects have changed. Whether this be curbside closing or doing more aspects of the job online, we still have to maintain the quality of our work and the customer service that is expected of us. Luckily, we have great leadership throughout the company, and everyone knows that for us to be our best, we must all work together. I look forward to seeing how the company continues to grow and adapt to the changing times.
